Morocco’s horse racing scene hits a new stride on April 26 with the launch of the UAE Moroccan Festival in Casablanca, backed by the prestigious UAE President Cup (Gr3 PA).
With a €250,000 purse—the biggest of the season—the race cements ties between the two nations and their shared love of equestrian sport, according to a press release from the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC), the body overseeing horse racing development in Morocco.
The event will feature eight races, attracting top talent from around the world. «We are striving to position Morocco as a key hub for horse racing, not just in Africa but across the Mediterranean region. This partnership with the UAE is a true acknowledgment of our collective efforts», said Hicham Debbagh, Deputy General Director of SOREC.
Part of the 32nd edition of the UAE President Cup, the festival reflects the growing momentum of Morocco’s equestrian sector.
