The official identified the man as Tyshi Hiroyasha, aged 53. He said the victim, who had been working in the southern village of Bint Jbeil, which was devastated during Israel's 34-day war against Lebanon, suffered a nervous breakdown Wednesday and was transported to the main hospital in Tyre, where he jumped to his death from a third-floor window. The Japanese embassy in Beirut confirmed that one of its citizens had died in Tyre but would not provide any details.
