A plane arriving from Marrakech veered off the runway while landing at Fez Saïs Airport and crashed into the airport’s perimeter fence, causing significant material damage to the aircraft.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics announced that a technical investigation has been launched into the accident, which occurred on Friday at 4:10 p.m. local time. The aircraft involved was a Hawker XP800, registered CN-TKC, operated by Air Océane.
According to the ministry, three crew members and one person on the ground were injured in the incident. All four were treated on site and then transferred to a clinic for further medical care.
As per established procedures, a team from the Civil Aviation Accident Investigation and Analysis Office (AIAO), under the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, was dispatched to the scene to carry out the necessary investigations and determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
The ministry emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to fully clarify the incident and ensure the continued safety of air transport. It added that further information will be shared as the investigation progresses.
The ministry also confirmed that the incident did not disrupt air traffic or airport operations at Fez Saïs.
