Morocco's Royal Armed Forces investigate alleged violence against migrant at sea

The Royal Armed Forces (FAR) have launched an investigation into the conduct of a Royal Navy patrol member toward an individual at sea. The decision, announced Tuesday evening, follows the circulation of online footage showing violence against a person believed to be a migrant near the enclave of Ceuta.

In their statement, RAF stressed that the matter would be handled «with the utmost firmness», calling such acts «completely unacceptable». They also reaffirmed their «full commitment» to protecting human rights and safeguarding human dignity.

The same source added that «all disciplinary and legal measures will be taken» in a «deterrent manner» against the accused if a «proven violation or involvement» is established, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
