Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi helped Paris Saint-Germain clinch the UEFA Super Cup title after their victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in Udine, Italy. PSG won 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the match ended 2-2 in regular time.

Tottenham took the lead in the 39th minute through Dutch defender Micky van de Ven, before Argentine Cristian Romero doubled the score in the 48th minute.

PSG staged a late comeback, with South Korean substitute Kang-In Lee pulling one back in the 85th minute. Portuguese forward Gonçalo Ramos then netted the equalizer in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

The French champions sealed the win in the shootout, adding another trophy to their continental record and becoming the first French club to lift this competition.

With this title, Hakimi—who is in contention for this year’s Ballon d’Or—continues to shine for PSG, becoming the most decorated Maghreb player in history with 17 career titles.
