Al Jazira Club parts ways with Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta after UAE Pro League defeat

Last Sunday evening, Al Jazira Club from the UAE announced the termination of their contract with first-team coach Hussein Ammouta and his assistant staff.

In an official statement, the club expressed gratitude, saying: «Al Jazira Sports Football Company extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to coach Hussein Ammouta and his technical staff for their contributions during the past period». The statement also mentioned that details about the new coaching team will be disclosed soon.

The decision follows Al Jazira's defeat to Khorfakkan in the opening match of the UAE Pro League. Ammoutta, who took the helm in July 2024, was initially contracted to lead the team until 2026.
