Danish murder suspect arrested in Tangier under international warrant

Police in Tangier arrested a 26-year-old Danish national of Palestinian origin on Tuesday evening, August 19. The individual is the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by Danish judicial authorities for a premeditated murder case involving a firearm.

A security source confirmed that the arrest took place in Tangier. A cross-check with the International Criminal Police Organization's (Interpol) database showed that the suspect is internationally wanted under a red notice, following an arrest order issued by the National Central Bureau in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Initial investigation findings suggest that the foreign national is implicated in a premeditated murder case involving a firearm, a crime committed in July 2025.

The suspect is currently in custody, awaiting transfer to the competent public prosecutor's office. Meanwhile, the National Central Bureau «Interpol Rabat», operating under the General Directorate of National Security, has been instructed to inform its Danish counterpart of the arrest.
