Casablanca unveils new generation of free public toilets

The Casablanca Group announced on Monday, September 1, the rollout of a comprehensive and sustainable system of free public restrooms, following the success of a pilot phase designed to set quality and health safety standards for such facilities.

This new generation of public restrooms meets high-quality benchmarks, with continuous cleaning, regular maintenance, modern equipment, and strict disinfection protocols to ensure health and safety. Their management is supported by smart systems to monitor performance and guarantee uninterrupted service. The units will be strategically located in squares, parks, stations, and other high-traffic areas.

Built to the latest international standards, the facilities include separate sections for men and women, equipment tailored for children and people with disabilities, ventilation systems, fire detectors, exterior surveillance cameras, and lighting to ensure both comfort and safety. They will be open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with extended hours until 10:00 PM during tourist seasons.

Specialized teams will handle cleaning and disinfection, while maintenance costs will be offset through integrated advertising spaces, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project.
