Morocco was buzzing late Sunday night after the country’s U20 team made history, clinching its first-ever World Cup title. The match kicked off at midnight Moroccan time, with fans sacrificing sleep to watch the Atlas Cubs take on Argentina. When the final whistle blew after a 2–0 victory sealed by prodigy winger Yassir Zabiri, Moroccans everywhere exploded with joy and pride.

From Tangier to Guerguerat, near the Mauritanian border, fans flooded the streets waving flags, honking horns, and singing triumphant chants that echoed until dawn.

Casablanca

In Casablanca, celebrations erupted seconds after the final whistle. Streets filled with cars, motorcycles, and fans draped in Moroccan flags. From the Corniche to the city center, chants, drums, and bendirs kept the energy alive until the early hours of Monday. Families, children, and groups of friends danced and sang in a carnival-like atmosphere.

Rabat

The joy was just as contagious in Rabat, where horns and whistles merged into a single, jubilant symphony. Crowds gathered in front of Parliament waving red and green jerseys, turning the usually calm capital into a lively sea of celebration.

Marrakech 

In Marrakech, the streets of the city center came alive with dekka Marrakchia. The city of music, tourism, and endless celebrations finally had something special to rejoice over. People poured into the streets armed with horns, drums, and infectious energy. Their rhythmic clapping and spontaneous chants kept the vibe electric long after the final whistle.

Fez

In Fez, fans flocked to the city center to celebrate the Atlas Cubs’ triumph. With no less enthusiasm and joy, the streets filled with chants, music, and pure football passion. Men, women, and children alike joined in, united in celebration.

Tangier

In Tangier, the boulevard leading to the main train station was buzzing with fans in cars and on foot. Along the Corniche, the traffic looked like a Monday morning rush hour—except this time, everyone was smiling. The city radiated pride, celebrating the Atlas Cubs’ resilience and determination.

Laayoune

The southern city of Laayoune was no exception. Crowds filled the main square waving flags and chanting victory songs. «This win crowns years of effort by the Moroccan Football Federation and builds on the national team’s achievements at the Qatar World Cup», one ecstatic fan told MAP.

Guelmim and Smara

In Guelmim, young and old alike poured into Agadir Street, wrapped in Moroccan flags. In Smara, women gathered in the city square clapping and chanting to honor the young champions.

Dakhla

In Dakhla, fans paraded through the streets, waving flags and shouting their pride. «From Dakhla, we congratulate the Atlas Cubs on this historic victory!» one woman cheered as horns blared around her.

Guerguerat

Even at Morocco’s southernmost border post, celebrations didn’t stop. Dozens of people gathered near the crossing with Mauritania, jumping, chanting, and waving flags in jubilation for Morocco’s first-ever World Cup triumph.
