Jonathan Harroch, CEO of the City Club sports group, is scheduled to stand trial before the criminal chamber of the first instance court affiliated to the Casablanca Court of Appeal, beginning December 2, 2025. The trial will address serious charges, including human trafficking, sexual harassment, indecent assault involving violence, coercion into prostitution, and possession and use of narcotics, among others.
This date follows the postponement of the initial hearing, which was set for November 4. The delay aims to ensure the summoning of plaintiffs who have joined the civil party and to allow defense lawyers ample time to prepare their case. During the investigation, Harroch has denied all allegations. Nonetheless, several women have come forward with reports of harassment as the investigation continues.
In a separate case, Harroch was previously sentenced to two years in prison for issuing bad checks and committing fraud. At the same time, he was under investigation for the charges that have led to this upcoming trial. He was taken into custody in October 2024.
