During his visit to Ceuta, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez underscored the importance of maintaining a constructive relationship with Morocco and strengthening regional cooperation. He stressed that Spain is working to deepen ties of coexistence and coordination with Rabat, particularly following Madrid’s shift on the Sahara issue, an alignment he said contributes to the stability and development of the entire region.

Sanchez noted that supporting Ceuta’s development is inseparable from keeping open channels of dialogue and cooperation with southern neighbors, foremost Morocco, with the aim of fostering a partnership based on trust and shared interests, according to Spanish media.

The Prime Minister, on his fourth visit to Ceuta since taking office, also announced a new package of investments. He toured several recently completed projects and infrastructure upgrades, highlighting his government’s commitment to improving the city’s social and economic conditions. He described these initiatives as the most significant investments seen in Ceuta in decades.
