The Casablanca Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld the initial verdict against former Raja Club Athletic president and former National Rally of Independents (RNI) MP Mohamed Boudrika. He was sentenced to five years in prison, ordered to pay a fine of more than 650,000 dirhams, and handed a one-year ban on issuing checks.
Boudrika had been held in custody on charges including issuing checks without sufficient funds, fraud, forging and using a private document, and unlawfully obtaining and using an administrative certificate.
The case dates back to July 2024, when German authorities arrested him at Hamburg Airport following an international arrest warrant issued by the Moroccan judiciary, before extraditing him to the kingdom.
