Moroccan stars El Kaabi and Driouech shine in UEFA Champions League

Moroccan players Ayoub El Kaabi, striker for Greece’s Olympiacos, and Couhaib Driouech, who plays for Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, continued their excellent form in the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Despite Olympiacos’ 4–3 defeat to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, El Kaabi stole the spotlight, scoring his team’s third goal with a superb header that left the goalkeeper with no chance, once again proving his sharp finishing in Europe’s top competition.

As for Couhaib Driouech, the Moroccan U23 international was the hero of PSV Eindhoven’s 4–1 win over Liverpool. Coming on in the 69th minute, he immediately shifted the momentum, scoring PSV’s third goal in the 73rd minute before adding a fourth in stoppage time, securing a crucial victory for his team.

Dariouch continues to cement his status as one of the rising stars of Dutch football. He has repeatedly expressed his desire to represent Morocco’s senior national team in the future.
