Rapper Jawad Asradi, better known by his stage name Pause Flow, remains in custody at Sefrou Prison. His lawyer, Yassine Ben Lakrim, confirmed this in a Facebook post, denying circulating rumors that his client had been released on bail.
Ben Lakrim explained that while the Sefrou Primary Court had accepted the defense’s request for bail, it set the amount at a substantial 100,000 dirhams.
He added that the court granted Asradi a 15-day deadline to secure the payment, but described the sum as «excessively high and difficult for him to provide upfront». The lawyer stressed that «Jawad’s release is contingent on paying the bail; until that happens, he will remain in custody at the Sefrou local prison».
Pause Flow has been detained since November 20, 2025, following controversy over the lyrics in several of his songs. He is being prosecuted for «insulting an organized body» and «insulting public officials using expressions that offend their honor, feelings, and the respect owed to them in the exercise of their duties».
