Boosted by the momentum of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, Mohammed V International Airport has crossed the historic threshold of 11 million passengers for the first time.
Over the full year, passenger traffic rose from 10.5 million in 2024 to 11.5 million by the end of 2025, marking a 9.3% increase. This growth was driven by the influx of AFCON supporters, official delegations, and international visitors, as well as the expansion of air connections, Airports of Morocco announced in a press release this Thursday.
The performance further consolidates Casablanca’s strategic position, with Mohammed V Airport now accounting for 31% of total national airport traffic, making it Morocco’s main air gateway.
The outlook aligns with the country’s «Airports 2030» strategy, which focuses on capacity expansion, passenger experience improvement, and infrastructure modernization. In this context, Casablanca Airport is targeting 12.5 million passengers in 2026 and more than 20 million by 2030.
