Three women died on Wednesday morning after a house collapsed in the Bni Arouss commune, in Larache province. The collapse was caused by a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall that has affected the region in recent hours.
According to local sources, the victims were members of the same family, aged between 20 and 30. They included a woman, her daughter, and her sister.
Local authorities, assisted by civil protection teams, rushed to the scene after being alerted. The bodies were recovered from the rubble under difficult conditions, as rising river levels and damage to several roads hindered access and slowed rescue operations, the same sources said.
