Spanish national police have deported two individuals with extensive criminal records, citing the «social anxiety» they were causing in various parts of the Girona region. The suspects were flown from Barajas Airport to Casablanca Airport.
According to Spanish media, one of the deportees had a long history of criminal and judicial issues in Girona, while the other was involved in international offenses and faced a five-year ban from entering the Schengen Area.
The police noted that deporting suspects who are frequently arrested and repeatedly cycle through the prison system due to numerous crimes is a complex process. It requires detailed organizational efforts and significant operational coordination, particularly because it involves preparing legal documents for various courts where the suspects still have pending cases.
Authorities stressed that «cooperation between different security units and coordination with national and international authorities are crucial for the success of these operations». They highlighted that these measures ensure «compliance with applicable legislation» and aim to «enhance public security and maintain effective control over the external borders of the Schengen Area».
