Local authorities in the province of Sidi Slimane have unveiled a detailed plan for the phased return of residents who were evacuated due to recent extreme weather conditions.
The statement outlines that an operational and logistical framework has been put in place to coordinate the return process. This includes the deployment of transportation resources, the designation of specific routes, and on-the-ground support to manage the flow and prevent any confusion. Authorities stress the importance of ensuring a smooth operation while prioritizing the safety and security of the affected residents.
The return operation is set to begin on Sunday, February 15, 2026, initially targeting several villages within the territorial communes of Ouled Ahsine, Amer Ach-Chamaliya, and Al Msaada.
- Territorial commune of Ouled Ahsine:
Ouled Aqba, Al Abiyat, Sahimia cooperative, Maâtoukiya cooperative, Al Aroussiyine, Al Qliaa, Al Hakmiyine, Ouled Al Kzouli, Al Qitaât, Al Bahara Sebou, Zroualia cooperative, Ad Dakhla, Al Kabbara, Al Hasnaoui village, Sidi Abdelaziz, As Sayabra, Ouled Jelloul, Floussa, Ouled Soltana, Al Malayna, Al Jdayat, and Az Zraoula;

Residents from areas not listed in the statement are advised to refrain from returning until they receive official clearance. Authorities are basing these returns on the reduction of water levels and the assurance of safe and adequate conditions for residents. To oversee the process, checkpoints will be established at the entrances to the affected areas.
This plan is being implemented as water levels gradually recede, following the meteorological events that compelled numerous families to temporarily evacuate their homes.
