The Justice and Development Party (PJD) is expressing reservations about Morocco's proposal to initiate a deradicalization program in Gaza. During a Peace Council meeting on February 19 in Washington, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita pledged to advance an initiative aimed at combating hate speech and fostering values of tolerance and coexistence in Gaza.
While the PJD has not directly opposed the kingdom's position, the party's General Secretariat released a statement asserting that «it is the criminal Zionist entity that blatantly propagates hate speech and undermines the values of coexistence».
The PJD further insists that «the occupied Palestinian people and their resistance are exercising their legitimate right, enshrined by divine laws and international law, to defend their occupied land and resist the occupier by all legitimate means to reclaim their inalienable rights and establish their independent Palestinian state with Al Quds as its capital».
It is important to note that the plan proposed by Donald Trump, which was adopted by the Security Council in November, notably calls for the disarmament of Palestinian factions, including Hamas, which shares close ties with the PJD.
