A worker transport driver was arrested on Saturday following a violent assault on a truck driver in the Oulad Bourahma industrial zone in Kenitra. The suspect has been placed in custody as part of a judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor, local media reported.

The incident, which sparked widespread outrage, was captured in a video widely shared on social media. It shows the driver striking the truck driver in the head with a baton after a dispute over right of way escalated into a serious physical confrontation.

The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Zemmouri Provincial Hospital in Kenitra, where his condition was reported to be critical.
