The Spanish National Police have shut down an illegal textile workshop in the Campo de Turia region of Valencia province. The raid uncovered 26 workers laboring without contracts or social security, with 24 of them being undocumented immigrants from Morocco, Colombia, and Honduras, as reported by OK Diario.

Two Spanish nationals, aged 44 and 52, have been arrested in connection with the operation. One faces charges of violating workers' rights, while the other is accused of illegal labor trafficking and breaching a judicial order.

The exploited workers endured grueling 60-hour workweeks for a meager salary of around 1,000 euros per month. They were transported daily from Valencia's urban center to the workshop in a small truck, which was confiscated during the raid. This vehicle was also used to distribute finished garments to client companies.

Authorities had initially shut down the workshop in October 2025, sealing it with red wax. However, surveillance later detected renewed activity, prompting a follow-up operation in February 2026. This confirmed that the workshop had resumed operations and that the main suspect was still overseeing production.

The primary suspect has been brought before the court, while the second individual has been released under the condition of appearing in court as required.
