On Wednesday, April 8, Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, engaged in a phone conversation with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar. «The two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the region,» according to a statement from the Pakistani diplomatic service.

Ishaq Dar informed Nasser Bourita about «Pakistan's ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and diplomatic engagement to enhance peace and stability» in the Middle East. Islamabad has been instrumental in negotiating a fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran, which took effect early Wednesday.

Looking ahead, the Pakistani capital is preparing to host direct negotiations on Friday between American and Iranian officials, aiming to establish lasting peace between the two nations. Additionally, the Pakistani foreign minister has been in discussions with his counterparts from Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan regarding the conflict in Iran.
