In a message to Bahrain's King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, King Mohammed VI of Morocco voiced his "strong condemnation of the despicable Iranian aggression" that threatens the peace and stability of Bahrain. This aggression has impacted both civilian and military infrastructure, as well as residential areas.
"The Kingdom of Bahrain, guided by the wisdom of its sovereign, will overcome this challenging ordeal and emerge stronger and more stable."
King Mohammed VI highlighted that the security of Bahrain, like that of other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, is closely tied to Morocco's own security. He reiterated Morocco's unwavering support for Bahrain "in all measures it undertakes to counter the covert threats targeting the core values of the Bahraini people, as well as in decisive actions to maintain national cohesion and confront any attempt to undermine its unity, security, and stability."
It is noteworthy that Morocco severed diplomatic ties with Iran in 2009, standing in solidarity with Bahrain.
