The Rif separatist party steps up activities in Spain

The Rif Nationalist Party (PNR) is stepping up its mobilization efforts within the Rif diaspora in Spain. On Sunday, the separatist movement inaugurated a new branch in Girona. The same day, it organized a conference in Madrid under the theme: «Where Spain and the Rif Meet to Build Dialogue, Justice, and a Future».

Among the participants was Diego Camacho, a former infantry colonel and specialist in special operations. Frequently invited to conferences organized by the far-right Vox party on issues related to «insecurity» and «jihadist threats», Camacho is also scheduled to lead a conference on terrorism on May 30 in Barcelona at the party’s headquarters.

Journalists and legal experts also participated in the event organized by the Rif separatist movement in Madrid.

Through these initiatives, the PNR marked in its own way the centenary of the end of the Rif War in 1926, which culminated in the surrender of Mohamed Abdelkrim El Khattabi to Spanish forces backed by the French army under Marshal Philippe Pétain.
