A 29-year-old Moroccan man died on Monday evening after succumbing to serious injuries sustained in a stabbing in the La Palmilla neighborhood of Malaga.
According to Spanish media reports, the attack took place on Concejal Pedro Ruiz García Street. Emergency services received a call at around 8 p.m. reporting that a young man had been stabbed in the chest. When responders arrived, the victim was lying on the ground in a pool of blood but was still conscious, while several witnesses attempted to assist him until rescue teams reached the scene.
The victim was rushed to the Regional University Hospital of Málaga in critical condition, but later died despite doctors’ efforts to save him.
Following the incident, Spanish authorities deployed National Police officers and emergency teams to the area. The scene was cordoned off and an investigation was launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack. No arrests had been reported as of Tuesday.
