Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, has announced the launch of four photovoltaic solar power plants in Morocco for the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy as part of the «Noor Atlas» project, aimed at strengthening the kingdom’s energy sovereignty and expanding its renewable electricity generation capacity.
The «Noor Atlas» project seeks to reduce Morocco’s energy dependence, capitalize on the country’s high solar irradiation potential, and support the development of the national solar energy sector.
According to a statement, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes will oversee the design, procurement, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of the four solar plants over a seven-year period. The facilities, located in northeastern Morocco, will have a combined peak capacity of 225 megawatts.
The projects include the «Noor Ain Beni Mathar» plant with a capacity of 121 MW, «Noor Enjil» at 42 MW, «Noor Bouanane» at 29 MW, and «Noor Bouanadib» at 33 MW.
The French group said work began in early 2026, with delivery of the projects expected by mid-2027.
Eiffage is among Europe’s leading companies specializing in turnkey solar power plants and has built more than 130 photovoltaic facilities worldwide.
