DR

The Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), General Mohammed Berrid, is on a working visit to Paris. On Thursday, he held talks with the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Fabien Mandon, who has been in the post since September 1, 2025. «Our armies maintain a strong bilateral relationship. One built over the long term and firmly focused on the future,» Mandon wrote on X.

Officially, this is the third meeting between the two generals, following their encounters in September, during the ceremony marking General Mandon’s appointment at the head of the armed forces, and in December 2025, when General Berrid was awarded the Legion of Honour.

This latest meeting between the two military officials comes two days after talks in Paris between the Minister Delegate in charge of Morocco’s National Defence Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, and France’s Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans, Catherine Vautrin.

As a reminder, the French capital is hosting Eurosatory, the world’s leading defence and security exhibition, from June 15 to 19.
