Spain’s Incom, a company specializing in the manufacture of components for wind turbine blades, plans to complete construction of its third plant in Tangier on July 31, as part of an industrial expansion aimed at supplying one of the sector’s leading European manufacturers, Siemens Gamesa. The project reflects the company’s continued positioning within Morocco’s energy industry ecosystem, with the country serving as a production platform close to European and African markets.

According to Juan Antonio Vidal, director of Incom Composites, the company’s presence in Morocco has grown significantly in just six years. It has gone from employing 15 workers when it first began operations to supply Siemens Gamesa to nearly 300 employees today, with ongoing expansion now reflected in the addition of a third plant.

The Moroccan subsidiary also generates revenue of around €25 million, with plans for further growth, according to announcements made during an economic meeting held earlier in Valencia in the presence of Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.

This growth in Morocco comes as the company’s activity in its home country declines. Its main plant in Elda has entered a restructuring phase that led to the dismissal of 136 workers out of a workforce of around 400. At the same time, the group continues to strengthen its international presence through plants in Albacete, Poland, and India, posting revenue of €112 million in 2024.
