Brahim Ghali, the only candidate running to head the Polisario Front

As expected, the Polisario Front’s fifteenth congress, currently held in Tifariti, an oasis town located east of the sand wall, has paved the way for Brahim Ghali to continue leading the separatist movement.

According to pro-Polisario platform Futuro Sahara, Ghali, who has been leading the Polisario since July 2016 after the movement’s former leader Mohamed Abdelaziz passed away, is the only candidate bidding to head the Polisario Front.
