Morocco records 73 new coronavirus cases, 8,610 in total

73 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 8,610.

32 of the new confirmed cases were found in Marrakech, 26 in Tangier, Larache and Al Fahs Anjra, 9 in Fes, 5 in Casablanca and 1 in Kenitra.

While deaths related to the coronavirus stand at 212, the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered in the Kingdom has reached 7,618.

The number of active cases in Morocco stands at 780. Most of these cases are located in the Casablanca-Settat region (246), Marrakech-Safi (198), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (156) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (85).

Only 10 cases are currently in intensive care (seven in Casablanca and three in Tangier).
