Morocco's Oued Moulouya mouth faces drought from overuse

For at least four years, researchers have been warning about the effects of human activities that exacerbate the consequences of drought, causing the Moulouya River to no longer reach its mouth towards the Mediterranean. Already dried up in recent years, the river no longer flows into the sea, as specialists have observed on site in recent days.
