to get the right info you need to get in touch with the australian embassy in cairo , check their website

australians are very racist so it s not a great environment to immigrate to or raise your children in
reading the history of australians : they are originally english convicts
long time ago britain built prison in empty australia once they spend their prison sentence they become free and never returned to Britain
so one of the sentences that australians can not bear : ex convicts it s remind them of their past , they are so intolerant against immigrants

unfortunately the poor small tree is still hiding the immense bushy forest.
racism in Australia may to a certain extent be understood as Australian start to realize that the rising of immigrant population will sooner or later threaten their children’s future and the future of coming generation.
what about racism in our country? can it be understood? isn’t it racism when a fair skin citizen call a black citizen AZWA, NIGROU.... etc. has anyone seen a dark skin citizen holding a post as TV reporter or so? some Arabs always look down to a non-Arabs and treat them as if they belong to a stony age. isn’t that racism? some non-Arabs always believe that their land is being occupied by Arabs and even many of them call for a revolution to get it back. isn’t that racism?
racism in Australia is not that bad and serious if compared with bloody Moroccan racism.
so till when our beloved small tree will be hiding the immense bushy forest?

this on one hand on the other hand, British moved massively to Australia when their compatriots on a discovery trip to the continent found out that the country is rich of natural resources. they moved there for a better life, a better future. it's not 2 British prisioners ptdr who made Australia and Australians tongue sticking out smiley .

is it a tourist visa you applied for ? for work visa you need definitely an original job offer certificat and in the recent years only experts in specific fields are granted visas
in general i think visa application refusals is a good way to make money for the embassies

Mr Pearlview
don t just read the american versions of history ABOUT THE ARAB OR AUSTRALIANS OR THE BRITISH as you know USA has no history
i live in United Kingdom for years and seen so many documentaries discussing the history of Australia , to learn more facts about this interesting continent read a very good historian book called :
FATAL SHORES BY ROBERT HUGHES

After so many sightings by shiprecked portuguese and dutch sailors on the 16th century , the real discovery of this vast continent was on 17th century by Captain Cook , he only maped few places in australia like: New south wales Botany Bay , Sydney cove, left few flags there and left , captain cook and his sailors has families in UK and australia looked in the beginning a scary place to settle in so they returned and captain cook continued his sailing adventures to other parts of the world
have you heard of the Hulks(old ships) they are british ships(floating prisons)with a capacity to carry 1000 prisoners , they used to take them to USA (ex british colony too) but USA prisons become so crowded
Australia was the perfect solution for this problem, for every 1000 prisoners , 50 prison guards with their families have to move there
australia was just a desert , harsh living conditions so it wasn t appealing to middle class or working class
so the majority of the white population were thousands and thousands of prisoners originally shipped by Hulks (not 2 prisoners as you said)
as late as the 1950 and 1960 Australia started a program to encourage immigration so as to build roads , factories , they had adverts on the radio calling Australia the promised land, millions of people immigrated there not just from UK but from all over the world specially from common wealth countries
it s all changed in the recent years , they don t like immigrants anymore and their immigration rules reflect this .
sorry lizzybethan for this dive into historyconfused smiley
wish you the best of luck with your visa keep us updated thumbs up

dear printemps, you are just reading Wikipedia version of history and copying and pasting the parts that justify your point of view. Let’s have a look at the other parts that you ignored because it doesn’t justify your views:

[Starting from about 1815 the colony began to grow rapidly as free settlers arrived from Britain and Ireland attracted by the prospect of making a new life ............ Transportation of convicts ended as a result of AGITATION by the free settlers during the gold rush era. in 1851 the Australian population was 437,655 and just a decade later the Australian population had grown to 1,151,947. the rapid growth was predominantly a result of the gold rushes .............. Although Britain and Ireland remained the predominant source of immigrants, other European countries such as Greece, Italy, Germany, Yugoslavia and the Netherlands also became major contributors].

conclusion is that there are now more than 22 million Australians and they are mainly descendant of immigrants coming from Europe and other parts of the world and 2 prisoners statement was just a metaphorical phrase to insinuate that its not the convicts who had the big impact on the growth of Australian population.

wish you the best of luck with your visa keep us updated thumbs up

thank you so much for your wish Welcome, so much appreciated. As you are compassionate with me, i want to let you know that i’m so happy and well off where i am. A good job, 2 kids, a wonderful wife and a nice environment. hope you are doing well too where you are smiling smiley

you meant wikipedia, historians and their books are wrong.
i only reported from wikipedia which quoted from historian’s references. if you have lived in that era and you still keep evidences such as old maps and written convict’s testimonies etc.... then try to get in touch and discuss the matter with them not me, who knows you might convince themHeu grinning smiley !!!!

dude, you are so so wrong, the Aussies are very nice people, very tolerant, they would do anything for you or to help you.
i've been to Queensland, Brisbane, i got lost in the beach, the barrier reef, i didn't have my cell with me and couldn't find my ex who was in the other side of the beach, i met people who took time to help me find her, by the time i found her we were so high, i was like lets party and we partied all night.
Australians are far from racists, they are one of the most humble people on earth and very tolerant and very nice.
visit Australia first and you will understand the Aussies, til then don't talk about stuff you never experienced.
peace

Good morning Brothers and sisters, How are you all doing ?. Well, i am sure that you do not know me yet but i am here to share my story with you. i am a Moroccan man. The reason i got on yabiladi is that i have been looking for Moroccans who live in Australia. I am married to an Australian woman and inshallah will be travelling soon to be with her as the decision to be granted the visa was taken on the 15 of February ( last month ) . Now, i want to know about the process to get the visa as you know, here in Morocco, we do not have neither an Australian embassy nor consulat,..and about the time left to get it,,, are they going to ask me to travel to Egypt or to france or to get or they will have to send it to me to the Canadian Embassy in Rabat where i will have to go to get it..i will be more than happy to hear back from you.
Regards,
Hicham

Salam,
My brother lived in Australia for nearly 12 years now. He never said anything about them like being racist or rude to immigrants. My parents visited him there and they really enjoyed their vacation. Aussies are cool and friendly as my mom says. The only 'bad' incident is they had BBQ in the backyard and one neighboor called the police saying that they ''butchered'' a sheep, which was not true. He turned out to be a jewish guy who was reallllllly racist and just hated Arabs and Muslims!!!!

For the visa and the procedures, sorry! I really can't help he was in another country when he applied!

Hello Marsell smiling smiley
Go to [www.australia.gov.au]
This will give you VISA information. If you are accepted for a tourist visa you will either get a 3, 6 or 12 month stay.Their website has recently changed and is easier to navigate now. Some entry rules and fees are updated too. Actually I am an Australian citizen and want to take my Moroccan friend to Australia for a holiday, so I am going to call them tonight in Australia (their day) to see if he can go to another consulate other than Cairo (the one they refer you to) . You may have to check the interview situation by contacting the Australian Embassy there which is [egypt.embassy.gov.au] . For instance my friend does need one to come to America, although i did not see that required by the Australian consulate in Cairo.
If you are Moroccan, you will need a class 600 visa. you cannot, unfortunately do an ETA..I checked out an agent and it was nearly $800 US! We would rather risk the visa fee which is from $140 (I guess depending on your circumstances/length of stay).
Good luck with everything! I hope this helped!
