Moroccans stranded in Melilla have all been repatriated to the kingdom

The government delegate in Melilla, Sabrina Moh addressed on Wednesday the repatriation of Moroccans stranded in the autonomous city since March.

«Everyone who wanted to return to their country did so and there are no Moroccans stranded in our city», she announced, El Faro de Melilla reported.

936 Moroccans were repatriated from Melilla, via the Beni Ensar border. 200 of them were repatriated in May and the rest left the autonomous city last week. 645 of those repatriated were women.

«Many of those who left were children, women, old people and those with disabilities», Sabrina Moh said.

«I would like to thank the collaboration that the authorities of the Kingdom of Morocco have showed so that these repatriation operations take place in the best possible way and without any incident», she added.

El Faro de Melilla also reported that the people accommodated in the Muslim cemetery of the city and of 112 people that the city received at the Plaza de Toros were also repatriated.
