King Mohammed VI, through his company DSCI Deschanel, has acquired a 1,600 m² hotel at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, Le Figaro reports, confirming the report published earlier this month by Africa Intelligence.

Citing the network Belles demeures de France (Christie's International Real Estate), mandated at some point by the Saudi royal family to sell this hotel, the newspaper reports that the private secretary of Mohammed VI and his lawyer concluded the deal directly with the representatives of the Saudi royal family this summer.

«Both sides preferred to negotiate the deal privately. The sale was completed at the end of July and we were notified at the beginning of August», explains Marie-Hélène Lundgreen, director of Belles demeures de France, a specialist in luxury real estate.

The mansion would be estimated at 80 million euros but this expert believes that it is worth more than that. «The price is not yet known but I can tell you that we received offers close to the prices that made headlines, but they were refused», Marie-Hélène Lundgreen said.

«The surface area of this private mansion amounts to 1,600 m² of living space and 1,400 m² of ancillary areas (basement, parking, terrace, technical rooms...)».

Built in 1912, the Three-storey hotel has ten rooms, a penthouse, a gaming room, a swimming pool, a spa, a meeting room, a hair salon, a 300 m² garden and of course a 229 m² terrace with a breathtaking view.
