Moroccan professional footballer Soufiane Chakla has tested positive for the coronavirus, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced on Friday.
Ahead of the two friendlies, the national team is expected to play against Senegal and DR Congo, the Atlas Lions and the technical staff of the team underwent coronavirus tests, which showed the infection of Chakla.
Nabil Dirar, who was summoned alongside Chakla to play for the national football team, also tested positive for the coronavirus earlier this week. He was replaced by Achraf Lazaar.
The Atlas Lions will face the Senegal Lions tonight before playing against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday. These two matches will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
