French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault has decided to have the third generation of its Dacia Sandero model produced exclusively in Morocco.

According to Romania Insider, the group has decided to move the production  from Romania to Morocco, commissioning Romania’s Renault Dacia car plant only with the production of the «models with higher added value, along with the budget model Logan».

The third generation of Renault’s Dacia Sandero will be produced in its Moroccan plants in Tangier and Somaca.

Renault’s plants in Morocco started producing in 2012 Dacia’s models Lodgy and Dokker, as well as Logan sedan. Sandero and Logan MCV were later both produced in Morocco and Romania.
