King Mohammed VI inquires about the China Covid-19 vaccine in Morocco

King Mohammed VI chaired, Wednesday, the council of ministers. During the meeting, the sovereign «inquired about the progress of the Covid-19 vaccine being developed by China, with regard to Morocco», a press release by the Royal palace read.

Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb «affirmed that there is regular contact with the concerned companies as well as with the Chinese government, which are showing goodwill on the matter, stressing that things are moving in the right direction».

The Minister of Health, moreover, chaired a working session on Thursday, October 8, attended by regional directors from the health department, devoted to examining the means to ensure the success of the vaccination process, by preparing all health institutions to this expanded operation, depending on the specificities of each region.

Morocco and the Chinese laboratory CNBG had concluded, on August 20 in Rabat, two cooperation agreements to conduct clinical trials of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
