The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) sent a message to British tourists, in a video broadcast Wednesday, announcing the holding of the congress of the Association of British Travel Agencies and Tour Operators (ABTA) in 2021, in Marrakech, after its postponement due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

«In October 2021, Morocco and Marrakech will be there, stronger and more united than ever to welcome you again», said ONMT director Adel El Fakir.

«Morocco is still there, standing, fighting and with incredible strength to overcome this crisis in order to welcome you again in the best conditions», he said in a video, explaining the position of Morocco and reassuring British professionals.

With more than 2.2 million overnight stays, British tourists represent Morocco's second largest market, the official also said.

The message was accompanied by spontaneous testimonies from tourism workers in Marrakech.
