A delegation of members of the association of travel agencies in Andalusia (southern Spain) visited, Thursday, Tangier, as part of the first «Fam Trip» to be organized since the start of the pandemic to promote tourism in Morocco.
The visit, which is part of a Fam Trip organized by the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), has seen the participation of 15 tourist operators representing travel agencies operating in southern Spain and two journalists interested in tourism.
For the representative of the ONMT in Andalusia, Azzedine Bijjou, this visit is part of the efforts made by the Office to promote tourism in Morocco, noting that «the context of the pandemic had complicated the organization of this trip in favor of the tourist actors in the region of Andalusia».
The official added that this trip aims to allow Spanish tourism actors to meet their counterparts in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and in Rabat, to examine the possibility of scheduling trips soon and encouraging Spanish tourists to visit Morocco to help revive the sector.
