2,721 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 173,632.
2,591 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 143,972.
50 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,928. 16 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 6 in Fès-Meknès, 6 in the Oriental, 6 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 3 in Souss-Massa, 2 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet and one death in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The country has 26,732 active cases, including 534 in critical conditions. 58 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 1,221 cases: 918 in Casablanca, 102 in Mohammedia, 63 in El Jadida, 53 in Settat, 45 in Berrechid, 26 in Nouaceur, 5 in Benslimane, 5 in Sidi Bennour and 4 cases in Mediouna. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kenitra with 408 new infections: 111 in Kénitra, 92 in Salé, 56 in Rabat, 54 in Skhirat-Témara, 39 in Sidi Kacem, 32 in Khemisset and 24 in Sidi Slimane.
Souss-Massa follows with 207 new cases: 115 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 35 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 29 in Taroudant, 14 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 13 in Tiznit and one case in Tata. 185 cases were confirmed in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima: 68 in Tétouan, 29 in Tanger-Assilah, 40 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 27 in Chefchaouen and 21 in Larache.
The Oriental region recorded 148 new infections: 86 in Oujda-Angad, 23 in Jerada, 21 in Berkane, 15 in Guercif and 3 in Taourirt. Beni Mellal-Khénifra follows with 135 new infections: 49 in Beni Mellal, 33 in Khouribga, 25 in Fqih Bensaleh, 22 in Azilal and 6 cases in Khénifra.
In Drâa-Tafilalet, 131 new cases were confirmed: 69 in Errachidia, 24 in Ouarzazate, 19 in Midelt, 15 in Tinghir and 4 cases in Zagora.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 129 new cases (81 in Marrakech, 15 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 11 in Essaouira, 7 in Chichaoua, 6 in Rhamna, 5 in Youssoufia, 3 in Al Haouz and one case in Safi) while 72 new infections were confirmed in Fès-Meknes (28 in Taounate, 13 in Fez, 11 in Taza, 10 in Meknes, 5 in El Hajeb, 4 in Sefrou and one case in Ifrane).
In the southern provinces, 63 new cases were recorded in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (56 in Laâyoune, 5 in Es-Smara and two cases in Boujdour), 17 cases in Guelmim-Oued Noun (7 in Guelmim, 6 in Sidi Ifni, two cases in Assa Zag and two others in Tan Tan) and 5 infections in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
