After several coronavirus infections were confirmed within Raja Casablanca, health authorities in Morocco have decided to prevent the football team from traveling to Egypt to play against Cairo-based Egyptian club Zamalek.
The game was scheduled for Saturday and comes after the team won Raja, scoring one goal.
The Ministry of Health urged the Raja team to observe a seven-day quarantine after 9 coronavirus cases were confirmed within the club. Eight of these infections were recorded among the club’s players.
The Raja team was expected to head to Egypt on Wednesday, to play against Zamalek as part of the the CAF Champions League.
On the other hand, Zamalek agreed to postpone the game and wait for the recovery of Raja players.
