Taoufik Amencor, 22, is a young Moroccan born in Tetouan and passionate about flamenco music. Recently, he tried his luck in «Tierra de Talento», a talent show broadcast by Canal Sur.

«He is famous among Ceuta’s inhabitants who walk through the central streets of the city and listen to his music. Amencor is a street artist who plays his guitar in the streets of Revellín», El Faro de Ceuta wrote, adding that the Moroccan used to be an undocumented migrant.

First housed by a migrant reception center in the autonomous city, Taoufik Amencor met his girlfriend in Ceuta, who is originally from Cordoba, with whom he moved to Andalusia.

The young man explains in the video of his presentation that she is the one who encouraged him to try his luck in the world of music.

«The jury, impressed by his performance, encouraged him» too, wrote Canal Sur, adding that the young man sings pure flamenco in Spanish and Arabic.

«His bilingual version of 'Ley de vida', by Nani Cortés, earned him 5 jury stars», the same source added.

To El Faro de Ceuta, Taoufik Amencor «has no other choice but to fight to try to make a living from music».
