Morocco : The leader of a dismantled terror cell kills a prison officer

An inmate, who was arrested during the dismantling of a terror cell in September, stabbed a correctional facility employee to death, the Rabat prosecutor announced, Tuesday, in a press release.

The stabbing took place in the local Tifelt 2 prison. The prison officer was immediately transferred to the hospital, where he surrendered to his neck injury. During the stabbing, three other employees were injured while trying to save their co-worker.

According to investigators, this detainee is the leader of the terrorist cell dismantled in Témara on September 10. The dismantled cell had materials and chemicals that its members were planning to use to commit terrorist attacks.
