An Egyptian government report released this week revealed that Egyptian exports to Morocco reached $582.6 million (MAD 5.3 billion) in 2019. Last year Egyptian exports to the Kingdom stood at $ 501.6 million only.
The report indicated that most of these exports were animal and plant products, beverages and tobacco, marble, ceramics, chemicals and plastics.
The same report said that Egyptian imports from Morocco fell to $ 141 million in 2019, after they were at $ 165.5 million last year.
For the record, Egypt is one of the countries that signed the Agadir Agreement, a free trade agreement concluded in Morocco in 2004 and implemented in 2007.The agreement includes Morocco, Jordan and Tunisia.
