5,641 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 240,951.
3,329 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 197,215.
77 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,059. 31 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 12 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 10 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 5 in Souss-Massa, 4 in the Oriental, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Fès-Meknes and one death in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 39,677 active cases, including 874 in critical conditions. 68 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region comes first, with 2,517 new cases: 1,936 in Casablanca, 159 in Mohammedia, 121 in Nouaceur, 87 in Settat, 80 in El Jadida, 70 in Berrechid, 32 in Mediouna, 19 in Sidi Bennour and 13 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, with 760 new cases: 247 in Kénitra, 185 in Sale, 185 in Skhirat-Témara, 99 in Rabat, 28 in Sidi Kacem, 12 in Khemisset and 4 cases in Sidi Slimane.
The Oriental region follows with 701 new infections: 287 in Oujda-Angad, 115 in Berkane, 91 in Taourirt, 85 in Nador, 72 in Jerada, 44 in Guercif, 5 in Figuig and 2 cases in Driouch. 430 cases were confirmed in Souss-Massa: 237 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 80 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 74 in Taroudant, 20 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 18 in Tiznit and one case in Tata.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 397 new cases: 133 in Tanger-Assilah, 75 in Tétouan, 69 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 54 in Al Hoceima, 43 in Larache, 13 in Chefchaouen, 8 in Fahs Anjra and 2 in Ouazzane. Marrakech-Safi confirmed 269 new infections: 140 in Marrakech, 37 in Youssoufia, 28 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 23 in Essaouira, 19 in Rhamna, 13 in the province of Al Haouz, 5 in Chichaoua and 4 cases in Safi.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 151 new infections were confirmed: 67 in Khouribga, 52 in Fqih Bensaleh, 17 in Azilal, 14 in Khénifra and one case in Beni Mellal.
142 confirmed cases were found in Fès-Meknes (36 in Taza, 29 in Fès, 29 in Taounate, 13 in Meknes, 11 in Ifrane, 10 in Boulmane, 9 in Sefrou, 4 in El Hajeb and one case in Moulay Yacoub) and 106 infections in Drâa-Tafilalet (46 in Errachidia, 19 in Ouarzazate, 15 in Tinghir, 14 in Zagora and 12 cases in Midelt).
In the southern provinces, Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 73 new cases (40 in Guelmim, 22 in Tan Tan, 8 in Sidi Ifni and 3 in Assa Zag), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra confirmed 69 (41 in Laâyoune, 18 in Es-Smara, 8 in Boujdour and 2 in Tarfaya), and the province of Oued Ed-Dahab recorded 26 infections (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
