5,214 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 265,165.
3,946 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 216,851.
69 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,425. 14 of these deaths were recorded in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, 13 in the Oriental, 12 in Casablanca-Settat, 8 in Fès-Meknès, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 4 in Souss-Massa, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 2 Drâa-Tafilalet and 2 others in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 43,889 active cases, including 984 in critical conditions. 76 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region recorded 2,381 new cases: 1,898 in Casablanca, 184 in Nouaceur, 67 in El Jadida, 60 in Mohammedia, 44 in Mediouna, 42 in Settat, 40 in Berrechid, 24 in Benslimane and 22 cases in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 1,209 new cases: 447 in Salé, 269 in Skhirat-Témara, 191 in Kénitra, 122 in Rabat, 108 in Sidi Kacem, 44 in Khemisset and 28 cases in Sidi Slimane.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 458 new infections: 202 in Tanger-Assilah, 71 in Tétouan, 59 in Larache, 48 in Al Hoceima, 38 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 33 in Chefchaouen and 7 cases in Ouazzane. 220 cases were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi: 161 in Marrakech, 24 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 23 in Essaouira, 6 in Rhamna, 4 in Youssoufia and 2 cases in Safi.
In Souss-Massa, 206 infections were confirmed between yesterday and today: 109 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 51 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 27 in Tata, 14 in Taroudant, 4 in Tiznit and one case in Chtouka -Have Baha.
Drâa-Tafilalet recorded 143 new cases: 68 in Errachidia, 63 in Midelt, 7 in Zagora and 5 cases in Ouarzazate. The Oriental region recorded 139 new cases: 88 in Oujda-Angad, 22 in Nador, 21 in Berkane, 6 in Taourirt and 2 cases in Guercif.
133 infections were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (54 in Khouribga, 38 in Beni Mellal, 19 in Fqih Bensaleh, 13 in Azilal and 9 cases in Khénifra), 109 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (100 in Laâyoune, 8 in Tarfaya and 1 case in Boujdour) and 100 infections recorded in Fès-Meknès (25 in Fès, 20 in Taza, 14 in Boulmane, 14 in Sefrou, 13 in Meknès, 10 in Taounate, 3 in El Hajeb and 1 case in Ifrane).
In the southern provinces, 79 cases were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (58 in Guelmim, 10 in Assa Zag, 7 in Tan Tan and 4 in Sidi Ifni) while 37 new infections were found in the province of 'Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
