6,195 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 276,821.
4,297 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 226,040.
64 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,570. 19 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 16 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in the Oriental, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 3 in Fès-Meknès, 5 in Tangier -Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 4 in Souss-Massa and 1 death in Daraa-Tafilalet.
The country has 46,211 active cases, including 967 in critical conditions. 72 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region comes first, with 2,387 new cases: 2,038 in Casablanca, 98 in Berrechid, 94 in Nouaceur, 41 in Mohammedia, 37 in Mediouna, 34 in El Jadida, 25 in Settat, 13 in Sidi Bennour and 7 cases in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 1,062 new cases: 430 in Kénitra, 198 in Salé, 198 in Skhirat-Témara, 127 in Rabat, 91 in Khemisset, 14 in Sidi Kacem and 4 cases in Sidi Slimane.
642 were recorded in the Oriental region: 280 in Oujda-Angad, 105 in Taourirt, 74 in Jerada, 56 in Guercif, 55 in Driouch, 52 in Nador and 20 in Berkane. In Souss-Massa, 593 infections were confirmed: 318 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 163 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 39 in Taroudant, 31 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, and 42 cases in Tiznit.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima follows with 424 new infections: 187 in Tanger-Assilah, 63 in Tétouan, 46 in Al Hoceima, 39 in Larache, 38 case in Ouazzane, 34 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 14 in Chefchaouen and 3 in Fahs Anjra.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 345 new cases: 257 in Marrakech, 21 in Essaouira, 19 in Al Haouz, 19 in Youssoufia, 16 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 8 in Chichaoua, 5 in Rhamna.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 189 cases were recorded: 80 in Khouribga, 40 in Beni Mellal, 28 in Fqih Bensaleh, 22 in Khénifra and 19 in Azilal.
147 were confirmed in Guelmim-Oued Noun (134 in Guelmim, 11 in Assa Zag and 2 cases in Sidi Ifni), 140 in Fès-Meknes (35 in Fès, 33 in Taza, 31 in Taounate , 14 in Meknes, 12 in Ifrane, 10 in Sefrou, 4 in El Hajeb and 1 case in Boulmane) and 126 in Drâa-Tafilalet (50 in Errachidia, 27 in Midelt, 15 in Ouarzazate and 17 in Tinghir and 9 cases in Zagora).
In the southern provinces, 104 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (83 in Laâyoune, 13 in Tarfaya, 5 in Es-Smara and 3 cases in Boujdour), and 36 in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
