The Ibn Battuta high school in Tangier decided, Thursday, to close its doors and adopt distance learning after having recorded coronavirus cases.
The decision entered into force on Friday and will cover the coming 14 days as a preventive measures in order to avoid the spread of the virus among teachers and students, local online newspaper Tanja 24 reported.
This announcement comes 3 days after the closure of the Moulay Youssef high school in Tangier due to the appearance of coronavirus infections.
On October 23, the Minister of National Education, Saaid Amzazi indicated that 2,250 schools in the public and private sectors have closed their doors because of coronavirus cases. He said that the virus affected 1,708 students, 1,767 teachers, 289 employees and 187 other workers.
