5,515 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 282,336.
3,120 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 229,160.
61 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,631. 21 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 8 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 8 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 7 in the Oriental, 5 in Souss-Massa, 4 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Fès-Meknes, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra and 1 in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 48,545 active cases, including 999 in critical conditions. 77 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region recorded 2,179 new cases: 1,708 in Casablanca, 108 in Mohammedia, 101 in Nouaceur, 78 in El Jadida, 53 in Settat, 49 in Benslimane, 43 in Berrechid, 23 in Mediouna and 16 cases in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 946 new cases: 298 in Salé, 290 in Skhirat-Témara, 170 in Kénitra, 86 in Rabat, 81 in Khemisset, 19 in Sidi Slimane and 2 cases in Sidi Kacem.
The Oriental region follows with 589 new infections: 259 in Oujda-Angad, 142 in Berkane, 56 in Figuig, 46 in Guercif, 29 in Nador, 23 in Taourirt, 23 in Driouch and 11 Jerada cases. 471 infections were confirmed in Souss-Massa: 269 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 87 in Taroudant, 51 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 40 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 24 in Tiznit .
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 401 cases: 165 in Tanger-Assilah, 61 in Tétouan, 48 in Al Hoceima, 43 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 40 in Ouazzane, 38 in Larache, 3 in Chefchaouen and 3 in Fahs Anjra. Marrakech-Safi recorded 235 new infections with Covid-19: 146 in Marrakech, 22 in Essaouira, 20 in Youssoufia, 20 in Chichaoua, 10 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 8 in the province of Rhamna, 8 in Al Haouz and 1 case in Safi.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 170 cases were recorded: 95 in Khouribga, 28 in Fqih Bensaleh, 28 in Beni Mellal, 16 in Khénifra and 3 in Azilal.
167 cases recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (107 in Guelmim, 43 in Assa Zag, 11 in Sidi Ifni and 6 in Tan Tan), 122 infections in Fès-Meknès (48 in Taza, 28 in Fès , 17 in Sefrou, 16 in Meknès, 7 in El Hajeb, 4 in Boulmane and 2 cases in Ifrane) and 120 in Drâa-Tafilalet (45 in Errachidia, 26 in Midelt, 26 in Ouarzazate, 12 in Zagora and 11 cases in Tinghir).
In the southern provinces, 96 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (74 in Laâyoune, 9 in Boujdour, 9 in Es-Smara and 4 cases in Tarfaya), while 19 infections were confirmed in the province. Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
