5,875 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 288,221.
5,744 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 234,904.
66 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,697. 18 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 8 in the Oriental, 8 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 7 in Souss-Massa, 7 in Marrakech-Safi, 6 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 6 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Fès-Meknes and 2 deaths in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 48,610 active cases, including 1,035 in critical conditions. 82 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat recorded 2,254 new cases: 1,607 in Casablanca, 217 in Nouaceur, 157 in Mohammedia, 86 in El Jadida, 73 in Berrechid, 54 in Settat, 26 in Benslimane, 21 in Mediouna and 13 cases in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 1,036 new cases: 362 in Salé, 229 in Skhirat-Témara, 155 in Kénitra, 125 in Rabat, 61 in Sidi Slimane, 56 in Sidi Kacem and 48 cases in Khemisset.
Souss-Massa follows with 655 new infections: 338 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 183 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 48 in Taroudant, 43 in Tiznit, 30 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 13 cases in Tata. 501 cases were confirmed in the Oriental region: 163 in Oujda-Angad, 135 in Berkane, 82 in Nador, 37 in Taourirt, 31 in Guercif, 25 in Figuig, 23 in Jerada and 5 case in Driouch.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 443 cases: 176 in Tanger-Assilah, 100 in Tétouan, 60 in Larache, 44 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 36 in Chefchaouen, 24 in Al Hoceima, 2 in Ouazzane and 1 case in Fahs Anjra. Marrakech-Safi recorded 283 new infections: 182 in Marrakech, 28 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 22 in Essaouira, 18 in the province of Rhamna, 15 in Chichaoua, 10 in Youssoufia and 8 cases in Al Haouz province.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 201 cases were recorded: 69 in Khouribga, 53 in Fqih Bensaleh, 37 in Beni Mellal, 23 in Azilal and 19 cases in Khénifra.
142 cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (112 in Guelmim, 21 in Sidi Ifni and 9 cases in Tan Tan), 117 in Fès-Meknes (41 in Fès, 25 in Taounate, 20 in Sefrou , 12 in Meknes, 9 in Taza, 7 in Boulmane and 3 in El Hajeb) and 107 in Drâa-Tafilalet (38 in Midelt, 35 in Errachidia, 18 in Ouarzazate, 12 in Tinghir and 4 cases in Zagora).
In the southern provinces, 76 cases were confirmed in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (54 in Laâyoune, 13 in Es-Smara, 6 in Boujdour and 3 cases in Tarfaya), while 60 infections were recorded in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab).
